Innovation Unleashed: Atlas Copco Launches Next-Gen Oil-Free Compressors and Dryers

On December 23, 2020, the Atlas Copco Oil-Free Air Division successfully held its 2020 New Product Launch Conference at the picturesque Taihu Renaissance Hotel in Suzhou. Over 200 distributors from across the country attended the event, along with Mr. Liu Yudi, General Manager of the Compressor Technology Department at Atlas Copco (Shanghai) Trading Co., Ltd., and Mr. Bai Xiao, Business Director of the Oil-Free Air Division.

Among the three newly launched oil-free screw compressors, the ZR110-160 series represents a major leap forward in design and configuration. Equipped with the latest generation of original imported oil-free screw elements, this series boosts FAD flow by over 3% on average while reducing specific power consumption by over 3%. All models offer an integrated zero air-loss heat-of-compression rotary drum dryer (iMD) as an option, helping customers save energy, reduce installation costs, and conserve floor space.

Also introduced was the BD series blower heat zero purge dryer, now expanded to include -20°C pressure dew point models (BD360~3450 ZP), in addition to existing -40°C and -70°C options. These dryers support airflows from 21 to 208 m³/min and feature an intelligent energy control system unique to Atlas Copco. The system dynamically adjusts heating and cooling cycles based on monitored parameters, ensuring high reliability and optimal energy efficiency.
